Through this law passed in 2018, the State reaffirms its commitment to rehabilitating tourism as a strategic development sector, capable of contributing to the increase of State resources, job creation and the fight against poverty.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The aim is to intensify the promotion of tourism, to strengthen the competitiveness of the Congolese destination and to reaffirm the strong will and momentum of decentralization in this sector.<\/p>\n

As an innovation, this law incorporates international legal instruments ratified by the Democratic Republic of Congo. It establishes collaborative links in tourism between the central government and the provinces, in accordance with the Constitution of February 18, 2006, as amended to date, which institutes strong political and administrative decentralization of the country.<\/p>\n

This law also clarifies the way the tourism sector operates. It places particular emphasis on the incentive aspect of the actions of the central government and the provinces regarding the promotion of investment and the development of public-private partnerships, sustainable tourism, universal accessibility and the improvement of the tourism offer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tourism law provides guidelines on facilitation measures to be taken by the government to modernize and simplify entry, stay and exit formalities.<\/p>\n
