The Sanjavavy-Lohariandava railway bridge, destroyed by Cyclone Enawo in 2017, was rebuilt the same year. Rural communities are served only by the TCE railway.<\/p>\n<p>The Moramanga-Lac Alaotra (MLA) line between Moramanga and Ambatondrazaka is 142 km long; Tananarive-Antsirabe (TA \u2013 159 km).<\/p>\n<p>The Fianarantsoa-East Coast (FCE) railway line between Fianarantsoa and Manakara (163 km) is a truly legendary railway. Its construction lasted from 1926 to 1936, with the aim of opening up the eastern part of the country to facilitate the export of Malagasy agricultural products to Europe. The FCE includes 18 stations, 48 tunnels (the longest of which is 1,072 m), and 67 bridges.,&nbsp;<span style=\"background-color: var(--base-3);\">Four major viaducts and\u2026 an airport! Indeed, the line passes over the runway of Manakara airport.
