The Pointe-Noire SEZ is the result of a public-private partnership concluded in June 2022 between Congo and Arise IIP, a company operating in Gabon, Benin, and Togo. Arise IIP, which specializes in the design, financing, and development of industrial platforms, is also responsible for the development of the Ouesso SEZ.<\/p>\n

President Denis Sassou Nguesso inaugurated, in November 2022, the works in Loango in the department of Kouilou, to make the diversification of the Congolese economy effective.<\/p>\n

Covering an area of 27,000 hectares, this SEZ will be developed by the Arise Congo group. This area, made up of two zones, will house commercial, industrial, and residential projects, including infrastructure and connectivity networks.<\/p>\n

The Codimex group, through its subsidiary MBTP, a leader in the construction sector in the Republic of Congo and Africa, has been appointed to carry out the development work on the Pointe-Noire Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The work, which has already begun, is being carried out by a multidisciplinary team of 300 people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This ambitious project aims to attract foreign direct investment estimated at one billion dollars, of which 150 million will be devoted to the development of the industrial ecosystem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The activities covered are refined petroleum products; metals and engineering; chemicals; food and beverages; non-metallic mineral products; wood and wood products; paper and paper products; production of plastic and glass products.<\/p>\n

In its first phase, this zone will generate 24,000 jobs, including 8,000 direct jobs and 16,000 indirect jobs. These jobs will be governed by the Congolese labor code and, as such, will give priority to local labor.<\/p>\n
