autonomy based in Yaound\u00e9 with a regional branch in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. The Agency is placed under the technical supervision of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon and under the financial supervision of the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>The Agency also provides public services to companies applying for or obtaining approval under the Investment Charter, as well as monitoring of said companies benefiting from these advantages.<\/p>\n<p>Created on September 1, 2005 by presidential decree and operational in 2010, the API is involved in the development and implementation of government policy in the area of investment promotion, which includes in particular:&nbsp;<br><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Welcoming, assisting and guiding investors<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Receiving and processing approval application files<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Facilitating the acquisition of visas required by investors and their foreign personnel<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Simplification of administrative procedures in conjunction with the relevant technical services<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Monitoring and control of commitments signed by authorized persons<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--base-3);\">\u2013 Granting incentives to investors in collaboration with other relevant ministerial departments<br><\/span><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align);
