Madagascar – A true Eden to discover

Madagascar – A true Eden to discover

With its unique flora and fauna, dream beaches, welcoming population and artisanal tourism, Madagascar enchants all who visit.

Four types of tropical climates, two winds, sixteen rivers and eight lakes condition the formation of plant flora and the survival of fauna, not to mention human intervention. The diverse aspects of the physical environment lead to the tracing of Madagascar's tourist geography into five major regions according to their assets:

– The central territories (Antananarivo – Antsirabe): capital city, rugged terrain, climatic conditions different from the rest of the country, agriculture and rice cultivation of great beauty.

– The coast of the virgin islands (NosyBe – Ambanja – Antsiranana): magnificent bay of Antsiranana which is the main destination for seaside tourism with a tamed marine expanse, a marina and a landscape of coves.

– The Capricorn Coast (towards the south and west, Toliary, Ifaty, Morondava): underwater depth – immense coral reefs at Toliary.

– The Coast of Contrasts (in the Southeast): combination of tropical forest and semi-arid savannah.

– The Bois de Rose coast (to the East) is composed of 70% of primary forest with inland coves, virgin beach landscapes and the navigable networks of the Pangalanes.
