This project was funded with $3.2 million in support from the World Bank, through the Health System Development Programme Management Unit (UG-PDSS), as part of the Covid-19 Emergency Project (PUARP-COVID 19).
These medical oxygen production plants have the capacity to produce approximately 53 fifty-liter cylinders per day at a pressure of 200 bar. They will serve not only to meet the needs of Panzi Hospital, Kyeshero Medical Center, Charité Maternelle Hospital, Sendwe Hospital, Kinkanda Provincial Hospital, Ngaliema Hospital, Kinkole General Hospital, and the Kinshasa Provincial General Referral Hospital, but also other surrounding facilities. Oxygen is an essential resource for ensuring the care of patients, particularly those in cardiorespiratory distress.
